Too Loud - Noise Meter & Timer
Description of App/How it can be used in the classroom: This app is a fun noise meter for the classroom that can also be used as a timer. The app can be put up on the Smart Board or screen in front of the class for the students to manage their voices. When the classroom starts getting too loud, the meter will reflect that and hopefully encourage the students to be quieter. You can also add a timer in the corner for students to see how much time they have left in work time.
Pros: Can be used as both a noise meter & and timer, involves cute backgrounds for the class, and you can adjust the timer on the timer as well as the volume that should be in the classroom.
Cons: There are a ton of ads, you have to buy a premium version for more backgrounds and personalization's, the background of animals could be distracting to students work time.

Description of App/How it can be used in the classroom: This app can be used to put students in random groups, in a list, or as a random name called. I can use this in my future class for student participation. For example, if I want to call on a student or choose a student for a particular role, I can use the random name generator to fairly pick a student. If I want to randomly assign students to groups for a discussion group, I can easily do that through the random groups feature.
Pros: Has multiple features of randomly picking students (in groups, list, one name), free app to use, can use the app for attendance purposes.
Cons: Must buy premium version to add more than one class list, only works for apple devices
Classroom Timer Lite
Description of App/How it can be used in the classroom: The classroom timer app is a way that teachers can create a visual timer for students in the classroom. I would use this in my future classroom by setting it up on the screen in my classroom for my students to see how much time they have left for their assignment or reading. You can easily choose a time you want for the timer.
Pros: Simple app to use, creates a simple visual for students to see how much time they have left, free app to buy
Cons: Only works to specific receiver devices, not super visually appealing, could distract students learning
